At its Aug. 17 Regular Meeting, the Garland City Council voted to call a special election for Tuesday, Nov. 3. The City is preparing a comprehensive informational campaign to make sure you have all the facts before heading to the polls. At the next City Council Work Session, Aug. 31, staff will provide a presentation detailing the tax rates and potential impact to City services whether the election is approved or not approved by voters. Additional Citywide Town Halls are also being scheduled, and several communication resources are in the works as well, including this website, a flyer, a video, signage, etc. Stay tuned!
